Computing

 At Trafalgar Schools' Federation we believe that technology is an essential life skill that will help our children to access all areas of the curriculum as well as provide them with the ability to understand and thrive within the  digital world they live in. The world of Technology is changing so fast that it is impossible to keep up, but our aim is to create confident and resilient technology users who will be able to adapt to their ever-changing world and become responsible, competent, confident and creative users of whatever technology they encounter.

We aim to ensure that all pupils:

• Develop an understanding of simple computing programming
• Use technology purposefully to create, organise and develop digital content
• Our Computing units of work are based around the Computing National Curriculum and have been developed specifically for our children, providing opportunities to develop their:
• digital literacy skills
• understanding and use of computer programming
• understanding of how to stay safe online
• ability to use technology in a creative way.

Computing and Technology forms part of the Understanding the World area of learning within the EYFS curriculum.
