Trafalgar is a UNICEF Rights Respecting School that is now applying for the Silver Award. 

As a Rights Respecting School, we teach children about the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child through dedicated assemblies, as well as in our everyday practice and the culture of the school. 

Together we learn about children’s rights, and are aware that it's not just about what children do but also, importantly, what adults do. In a Rights Respecting School like ours, children’s rights are promoted and realised, and adults and children work towards this goal together.

Our School Councillors have adopted the role of Rights Respecting Ambassadors, and use the Picture News resource to help children see themselves as rights respecting global citizens and advocates for fairness and children’s rights, both locally and globally.
