Science

 At Trafalgar Schools' Federation we believe that Science is concerned with children finding out about themselves and the world in which they live.  Through the teaching of the Science curriculum children are helped to develop their understanding of scientific ideas and encouraged to be curious and ask and answer scientific questions. They begin to develop a scientific approach to problems using skills such as observation, identifying & classifying, questioning, predicting, testing, drawing conclusions and gathering and recording data. Learning activities include collaborative discussions, group and whole class work as well as practical investigations.

Science forms part of the Understanding the World area of learning within the EYFS curriculum.
