At Trafalgar we recognise the importance of children learning a foreign language and Spanish is taught across KS2 by by our own Spanish speaking specialist. Lessons are based around the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing and we look to develop an awareness of the culture and countries where Spanish is spoken around the world. Through a variety of songs, stories, rhymes and games and writing to a Spanish pen pal we hope to develop the essential language learning skills which the children can take forward into their secondary school and beyond to be applied to any language they may study in the future.
